The Leavitt family's roots in the
catering business can be traced back to the late 1940s and the
renowned Mirsky's Restaurant on Montreal's Park Avenue. Ethel
Leavitt (nee Mirsky) baked exquisite cakes for her parents'
restaurant, while husband Moe Leavitt oversaw their catered parties.
In 1951, Ethel Leavitt Distinctive Catering was launched and Ethel
and Moe set out on their own.
For 50 years, Leavitt Catering (incorporated as Etmo in 1967) has
built on a tradition of excellence. Generations of Montreal families
have called upon Leavitt Catering for their brit milahs, bar
mitzvahs, weddings and other personal and corporate functions. The
company is now owned and operated by the second generation of the
family, in the persons of Harriet and Harvey Leavitt.
We
believe that the personal touch is what sets us apart. Our clients
know they can count on a tradition of quality and an unrelenting
attention to the things that make a gathering special.
